Dear Marshall Parents:
Thank you for all that you have contributed in the past to Thurgood Marshall Elementary. Your contributions have assisted us in recognizing and rewarding our “Super Students” in both academic and social success. Our literacy campaign and classrooms as well as workroom technology has improved.
We are excited about this year! We have expanded our Partners in Education Program to include a formal sponsorship form that you can use to assist your partnership with our school. With our student population being over 700 now and the addition of a new web site (www.marshallmustangs.com), we can offer you, as Partners, recognition in many ways.
As we look ahead to the 2006-2007 school year we are continuing our literacy focus and faced with the need of meeting a state mandated goal of 20 books to each child, this translates to 2,002 additional books with an approximate cost of $30,000.
We are asking corporations, businesses and home businesses in our area, (many of our families are your patrons), to consider becoming a Partner in Education with Marshall Elementary.
